Senior Market Risk Analyst (Gas & Power) - €170k + Bonus - Zurich
We are partnering with a well-established Swiss energy trading house as it evolves its trading strategy toward a more dynamic, performance-driven model with increased emphasis on proprietary risk-taking.
The firm is seeking a Senior Market Risk Analyst with strong quantitative expertise and deep knowledge of European gas and power markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyse, and report market risk across European gas and power trading books (physical and derivatives)
- Develop and enhance quantitative risk methodologies
- Act as a key sparring partner to traders, providing independent challenge in a more risk-intensive trading environment
- Contribute to ongoing development of risk frameworks, models, and analytics infrastructure
Requirements
- 5+ years’ market risk experience within energy trading
- Strong quantitative academic background
- Demonstrable expertise in European gas and power market
- Strong technical skills (Excel essential; Python, VBA, SQL)
