We are partnering with a well-established Swiss energy trading house as it evolves its trading strategy toward a more dynamic, performance-driven model with increased emphasis on proprietary risk-taking.

The firm is seeking a Senior Market Risk Analyst with strong quantitative expertise and deep knowledge of European gas and power markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse, and report market risk across European gas and power trading books (physical and derivatives)
• Develop and enhance quantitative risk methodologies
• Act as a key sparring partner to traders, providing independent challenge in a more risk-intensive trading environment
• Contribute to ongoing development of risk frameworks, models, and analytics infrastructure

Requirements

• 5+ years’ market risk experience within energy trading
• Strong quantitative academic background
• Demonstrable expertise in European gas and power market
• Strong technical skills (Excel essential; Python, VBA, SQL)
