Senior Credit Risk Analyst

We are working with a leading energy and commodities trading business that is looking to hire a German-speaking Credit Risk Analyst with experience across the oil and/or energy markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for a credit professional looking to move closer to the commercial side of the commodities market, working directly with Trading, Risk and Finance teams in a fast-paced environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Assessing the creditworthiness and financial strength of counterparties
• Performing financial and credit analysis across oil and energy companies
• Monitoring counterparty exposure, limits and utilisation
• Making credit recommendations and supporting credit approval processes
• Working closely with Traders and commercial teams on new transactions and counterparties
• Identifying and escalating emerging credit risks
• Supporting the management of collateral, guarantees and other credit support
• Producing credit analysis and reporting for senior stakeholders
• Contributing to the ongoing development of credit risk processes and frameworks

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in Credit Risk / Counterparty Credit Risk
• Strong experience within oil, energy or commodity markets
• Excellent financial analysis and credit assessment skills
• Understanding of counterparty exposure and credit limits
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
• Fluent German and English
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with Trading and commercial teams
