Algorithm Developer

We’re looking for an experienced Algo Trading Engineer to join a newly established team developing next-generation technology for electronic and algorithmic trading across European energy markets.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of trading, quantitative development, and real-time technology and wants to have a direct impact on how energy markets are traded in the future.

The Role

You’ll help design and build state-of-the-art platforms and infrastructure supporting digital, quantitative and automated trading across power, gas and related energy products.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and implementing a cross-asset algorithmic execution framework for power, gas and related products.
• Building a real-time backtesting and simulation environment based on event-stream sequencing.
• Integrating market data, vendor execution APIs and, over time, direct market connectivity.
• Developing UI components and monitoring tools for algo oversight, order placement, market interaction and real-time risk management.
• Working closely with traders, quants, embedded developers and technology teams to turn ideas into robust production systems.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years’ hands-on experience in electronic trading, ideally within energy, commodities or cross-asset algorithmic trading.
• Experience designing and implementing pricing, risk and order management systems in real-time, event-driven environments.
• Strong understanding of event-stream sequencing and experience supporting electronic pricing or execution platforms.
• Strong software engineering skills across APIs, market data feeds and execution gateways.
• A product-oriented mindset with a high level of ownership.
• A collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to work effectively with traders, quants and technologists.
